North Star Imaging is proud to announce our latest efX software release, version 2.5. Many of the features included in efX 2.5 were based on your feedback.

Standard CT Scan Accelerated SubpiX Scan

Standard CT Scan vs. Accelerated SubpiX Scan - Same Scan Time

Accelerated SubpiX

When image quality focused system operators are looking for higher resolutions from their existing industrial x-ray system, they have to increase scan times by 4X’s that of a standard scan to reach the image quality they want.

With Accelerated SubpiX, system operators can get a 40% increase in image resolution at the same speed of a standard scan, reducing the time to get to a higher quality image with their existing system.

Frame Averaging Comparison

Layered Frames

When system operators are optimizing a CT technique, multiple scans are needed to get to the results wanted, which takes a lot of time.

With layered frames, multiple settings for frame averaging can be evaluated as part of the reconstruction process using a single scan, reducing time to get to quality results.

Project Viewer

Today, system operators have difficulty recalling previous projects due to them being misplaced or deleted after completion. This creates a lot of rework and extra time spend during technique development.

Now system operators can use Project Viewer, giving searchable access to past projects created on the system, cutting down time spent on repeat work and file searching.

Transfer Project

When system operators are transferring CT projects to another location, the file and folder structure needs to be manually transferred which is time consuming and error prone.

System operators can now use CT Transfer Project, which will automatically transfer the appropriate data to the new location, saving time and reducing errors.
