This course will focus on industries with specification driven 2D imaging requirements (ASTM or Customer specific). Aerospace, Defense, Automotive and other industries requiring personnel, system, and technique qualification will benefit most from this class.

This course provides the materials necessary for the comprehensive understanding of Digital Radiography that is required in some of the most stringent industries. Attendees will learn innovative technique development strategies to help produce high quality results in the toughest applications.

Topics include: X-ray theory, inspection principals, other NDT methods, X-ray imaging system components, capabilities, image quality parameters, technique development for purposes of meeting specifications, inspection environment, display monitor characteristics and visual perception, image processing, process controls, and the basics of Computed Tomography.

This course includes curriculum for Level II personnel and Level III personnel (transitioning from film to digital) as recommended by FWG-IDR/MAI, ASTM and ASME in a format compliant with the requirements of NAS-410 and SNT-TC-1A.

This course is worth 40 Contract Hours that can be applied to various industry certification and continuing education requirements including ASNT, SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410 and MAI/FWG-IDR.
